about us

Career Futures is a private, non-profit organization originally founded in 1986 to meet employment needs in the community of Butte, Montana. This has since grown to meet the changing demands of the workforce where we have expanded to serve all adults and businesses within Butte and surrounding rural counties. Many of our services are available in the following counties: Butte-Silver Bow, Deer Lodge, Granite, Powell, Beaverhead, and Jefferson (Whitehall).

Career Futures has operated the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Work Readiness Component Program (WoRC) since 1996 and also administers: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment and Training (SNAP); Workforce Investment Act Adult (WIA); Carl Perkins?Nursing Options Program; and State Displaced Homemaker Program.

Career Futures offers training in 4 areas:
- Job Search Training: Learn how to look for a job with materials and tools for your job search. (1 week)
- Soft Skills Training: Become more aware with Communications, Conflict Management, etc. (2 weeks)
- Financial Management: Get the tools and knowledge on how to handle your money. (2 weeks)
- Computer Literacy: Hands-on training on general terminology and introducing the Microsoft Office Suite. (2 weeks)
